(1) Join Thanksgiving RoboParade, Saturday, November 18, 2007
Robofest veteran and rookie teams in Michigan are invited to join the world�s first Thanksgiving RoboParade on Saturday, November 18, 2006. (2) LTU Teacher Education Course using Lego NXT

Lawrence Tech University in Southfield Michigan will be offering a 14 week course entitled Autonomous Robotics for Education. (Course number: MET 5263)This is a course of LTU�s MET (Master of Educational Technology) program. The course will introduce concepts involved in autonomous robotics and how to use robotics education technology to teach mathematics, physics, science, and computer science. It will provide hands-on experience in designing and programming Lego NXT. The class begins on Tuesday Sep. 12, 2006, 7:20pm-9:10pm (On campus). (3) Robofest 2006 Video Available

A 15 minute Robofest 2006 streaming video is available on the Robofest home page at www.robofest.net (under News). If you would like to receive a high quality DVD, please email to [email protected] with your mailing address. We thank Grayland Bembry ([email protected]) for his help in making the video.

 

(4) Robofest Seeking Site Hosts for 2007 Competition Season

Robofest is currently seeking site hosts for the 2007 Competition Season.Qualifying Competition Sites are needed in March and April of 2007.Top teams from each site will qualify to move on to compete at the World Robofest Championships, which will be held on the campus of LTU on Saturday, April 28, 2007.Robofest plans to have all 2007 Sites confirmed by September 30, 2006.Interested individuals, organizations, or schools should contact Lori Birman for additional 2007 Site Hosting Information, [email protected] or 248-204-3566.

 

(5) Robofest is Seeking Sponsors for 2007 Competition

In an effort to keep Robofest a low-cost affordable contest for everyone, we are seeking sponsors for the 2007 contest.If you or your organization are interested in helping to support the important work of Robofest, please contact Lori Birman, [email protected].Robofest appreciates any type of support, big or small.Robofest accepts both cash contributions and in-kind services donations.Donations such as robot kits, printing, signs, promotion, etc. are greatly appreciated.Please contact us if you are able to support Robofest in any way. Robofest plans to print the promotional posters in December; so in order to put your company or organization logo on the poster, we will need sponsorship commitments by the end of October.If a sponsorship pledge is decided before November 4th, your sponsorship will be recognized in various ways during the first Thanksgiving RoboParade, too.
